OK, the election is over. Should Yahoo restore the public comment section at the end of articles?

Shouldn’t every Internet news platform be required to provide space for free speech public commentary? It is no secret the media relishes the unrestricted ability to influence public opinion completely without any legal checks and balances. It’s also no secret the media believes itself a cut above the general public. Shouldn’t Congress or, at least, the ALCU acknowledge the public right to hold media accountable or to support it when thought deserving relative to the everchanging ethics/morays of the society it claims to serve? Worldwide, media is effectively another arm of government influencing social order. Neither political extreme, left or right, believe elitists should reign supreme over society.

Update:

As the consumers upon whom advertising is forced, isn’t the public paying for the right to have a voice? Frankly, I just want to keep demanding that media restore the jobs of the proof readers who have obviously been given pink slips to increase media profits.

Most of the articles on yahoo come from other news sites, you could always jump on their comments section and scream into the void there

Nope , censorship and blackouts on stories that don't fit their narrative are the new standard for Leftist media .

Yahoo is simply following after every other Liberal Media source. They need their Sheep locked in an Echo Chamber where only “Approved” Opinions are heard. They say Diversity is Great, unless it’s Diversity of Opinion

Too many sheep don't like hearing the truth. They would rather hear the lies the media spits out

I think the poor yahoo “journalists” and “editors” get their feelings hurt by grade-schoolers correcting their grammatical errors in the comments.
