I it true that red is the scariest color?

I heard that it's why they use red lights on cars and traffic lights

Is there no other color that gets peoples' attention as much?

Red has always been associated with danger and perhaps that's because our blood is red and usually indicates injury or illness when we see it .

I don't know about scary. More like race car Red. One reason for Red is that it is at the low end of the visual spectrum therefore it can bee seen by most people at long distances. Like a Rose in a field of Daisey's you'll spot it right away.
