"Cher" seems to forget that Germany only bombed the U.K. after the U.K. had already been bombing Germany for months.

She also has no understanding of Geography.  There never was, isn't & never will be any country called "America."  That's the name of the huge continental mass & related islands that was known as "the New World" until being listed in 1507 on a map by a German cartographer as "America"

She also omits that Canada is part of America.  It came to the U.K.'s rescue once again on 10 Sep. '39, giving 42,000 dead & $billions - mostly as gifts - to help it in it's economic war with Germany.

"ken" seems to forget that Germany only lost after the combined weight of the U.S, U.S.S.R., U.K. & Commonwealth, France, Mexico, Brazil, et al. were amassed against it.  They lost nearly 3X as many dead as Germany in the undertaking.

No since Germany at the time was an evil place that slaughtered millions and that includes causing huge numbers of their own citizens to die!

I imagine that America must be ashamed that after they generously courted Hitler, they stayed safely tucked up in their beds while Germany was bombing the hell out of Britain.

Stupid, the British are rightly proud of their resistance. The Battle of Britain fought by the Royal Air Force was iconic.

Actually, the USA did, they bankrupted the country by selling war equipment. When Britain couldn't pay any more the USA opened the charge account, Britain finally paid off the balance of their WW2 debt to the USA on 31 December 2006
