It's obvious Trump is indebted to Putin but that's not the only reason he wanted to remain POTUS. He has legal troubles and debt coming due which will get him killed.

The Turd never wanted to be president, it was a publicity stunt gone wrong. Now that he's lost however he faces legal jeopardy because a life of money laundering and tax evasion looms large. He's wearing golden handcuffs, he knows he can't leave office without facing charges.

Putin isn't really an issue for him now, the southern district of New York could be though.

No. He is not happy about it. He needed the statue of limitations to run out. Although he could get away with being who he is with Republicans so that was no  worry. True, Putin for some reason scares the Be-Jesus out of him. But Trumps worse nightmare is being disowned and discredited even though  everyone knows he has no credibility. He will never admit to lying about anything. So the beat goes on.
