why does lack of sleep cause a burning sensation in the eyes and sinuses?

sort of like I've been slicing onions

    Because your eyes have been open too long and they are dry.

    It doesn't in me nor anyone I've ever heard about.

    Lack of sleep doesn't necessarily cause that. You have other problems going on.
