    NO such thing.

The word "cusp", in astrology, refers to the dividing line where one thing ends and another begins.  In astrology, we do not use cusps for Signs ...But the area we call Capricorn stops at 29 degrees 59 minutes 59 seconds of Capricorn ... and move forward one more second-of-arc, and you are now into the area of the ecliptic that we call Aquarius.  However, Houses are areas of sky, so there is the end of House, and at that spot the next House starts.  We uses "cusps" for houses to indicate what degree of what zodiac Sign was moving over the line/cusp.We do not use cusps in referring to where a planet is .. It is in one Sign or the other, can cannot be in two places at the same time. However, fake Sun Sign astrology talks about cusps. What is actually happening is that some years Sun moves out of Capricorn and into Aquarius sometime on January 19th, and other years it makes this move sometime on January 20th.  So for those who are born on either Jan 19 or Jan 20, they cannot find their Sun Sign (often miscalled their "zodiac sign") with only the month-day of birth. They must find out the exact time they were born.

But since the general public doesn't understand astrology,   and they may guess wrong about where Sun was, the scammers made up this thing about someone being "on the cusp" .. what they are actually saying is that when the person, Sun was in two places in the sky at the same time.  Sure thing. Yup.

Signs don't have cusps.  Astrological houses do.

If you follow sun sign astrology, how long would a cusp period be? Two days? Up to five? Bad enough to follow the stereotyping of one sign, why want two?

The professional astrologers that cast the full charts say there’s no cusps. Individual charts count not general signs.
