Type wood for an exterior door threshold?

The aluminum piece is held to the board by wood screws.

What type wood is best to replace this wooden threshold.

Our wood looks like the new board seen in this video.  https://www.google.com/search?q=replacing+wood+thr...

Update 2:

The new wood in that video looks like ours does on the bottom.

Teak would be the most durable. If you can find a yard that stocks it.

damp, mildew and bug resistant would be best.  Problem is that cypress may not be hard enough for where you want to use it.  Ask at your local hardware ... the sales guy there may have some alternative product.  [perhaps ironwood or something imported that we don't usually think of?]
