In the criminal case, would the prosecutor appeal against acquittal of any crimes?

    They could. Either side could appeal any verdict, if they do within the time allotted.

    Prosecutors prosecute.  They do NOT appeal decisions.

    I have NO idea what "appeal against acquittal of any crimes" means.
