Is exposing yourself to upsetting material a form of self harm?
After a traumatic experience I exposed myself to upsetting material on purpose is this common and would be considered a form of self harm?
Edit: I did a bad job explaining essentially I was molested as a kid and went out of my to upset myself essentially by watching mature media etc the reason I didn’t deal with it was because I was 6 and I didn’t understand what happened.

I don’t know but I do it too. Been traumatized and try to traumatize myself further. People need to stop molesting children also. So sorry that happened to you

No. It would be a form of neurotic behavior and/or attention seeking.

this is interesting.
You've suffered a traumatic event and to cope, you somehow "exposed yourself" to self harm material...in the form of videos? what?
I cannot understand why you chose not to deal immediately with the traumatic event?
Why exacerbate your anxiety state?
What are you getting out of that?
