Does the guy who likes me want my attention?

This guy that I think likes me always has his instagram stories going. I have never seen any of my followers always have their stories running like he does. He posts a lot of pointless things that don’t need sharing like a lot of memes, bands he’s listening, his breakfast and a guitar pick. Nothing noteworthy of someone keeping their story running 24/7. I have never once looked at his stories but he looks at mine. I think he does this to get my attention and because he wants me to watch his stories. Do guys do this to get a girls attention? *I’m curious but not enough to ask him.
