I listen to happy or heavy stuff when I'm sad, and it usually lifts my mood.  500 Miles by The Proclaimers, Orgasmatron by Motorhead, Girls Just Wanna by Cyndi Lauper, The Sentinel by Priest, etc.

The heavy stuff doesn't make me happy, but it clears out my sinuses and makes me feel indestructible.
