Why are people on ssi/ssdi not getting $300.00 extra?
Shouldn't they get it too. They are hit the hardest bc of the pandemics

People on SSI and SSDI are still getting their full benefits. They are getting stimulus checks. The 300 is an expansion of unemplyment benefits. People on ssi and ssdi are not unemployed. They might need it and not just on account of the pandemic, but they are not desperate. Unemployment checks are not equal to wages. The extra 300 is trying to makes unemplment checks more closely align to income when employed.

ssi/ssdi is the paycheck they can't work for already. They aren't taxed for that, are they?

Congress has this obsession with only helping people who qualified for unemployment benefits.
