Trump lost due to being an incompetent bigot.

You know, he could've easily won had he just handled the COVID-19 pandemic with any level of competence at all instead of utterly abandoning his leadership responsibilities. Crises make or break leaders. COVID-19 could've made him, and he could have been easily reelected. Instead, he went schizophrenically calling it a hoax by the media to ruin his "beautiful economy," blaming it on everyone from Obama to China, saying it would just go away on its own, saying it wasn't as bad as it was being made out to be, and declaring that he led America through it, his George W. Bushian "Mission accomplished!" moment.

Yet here we are with more people dying of it every day than ever before, more cases than ever before, it being the leading cause of death right now in many American cities, and what has Trump been doing about it? NOTHING. He hasn't even mentioned it at all in months. That's gross incompetence, beyond incompetence, even dereliction of duty. COVID-19 gave him a chance to be an American hero and make his reelection a lock, but he was too incompetent to even recognize that.

Many states have Republican excreted officers, elected by mail in voting.

It seems like he lost because people who declined to vote in 2016 had four years to learn that they couldn't rely on a major political party to refrain from nominating someone who was unfit.  They saw that that same party (despite having borne witness to his mental and moral disabilities for four years) nonetheless fully intended to drape their mantle upon him again.  So even though these voters may have had some misgivings about his opponent, they were spurred to action against an unfit candidate and the hollowed-out, cynical, and unprincipled party that nominated him.  This time, it was "better the devil you DON'T know".

Mail-in voting made things just as convenient for Trump supporters as it did for supporters of his opponent.  It's not like Trump voters all insisted on voting in person.  The Republican Party of Pennsylvania certainly mailed ME a ballot!
