Is there a way to avoid recommended videos in YouTube?

For some reason, sometimes some videos by channels that I'm not interested in appear as recommended in the list of related videos, so I'd like to know if I can avoid this.

It's YouTubes attempt to make sure 

you get some diversity, by inserting 

random ones into the list. The only 

way I've managed to cut down on 

them (unfortunately not get rid of) 

was to tediously go to the " . . ." 

on the right side of each one and 

selecting "Not interested". If you 

do this often enough, the algorithm 

seems to give you less of these 

random additions.
