The site was designed to be a database of knowledge and experience, so questions and answers from the time the site began, are archived here (many of the questions/answers are timeless so will be relevant ongoing). If looking for current questions, be sure and activate the "ANSWER" tab at the top of any question list. The default is the "DISCOVER" tab, which contains older posts. You may also see much older posts after you answer a question, if you scroll down below the question you just answered.

there was a time here, when you could answer the questions from a decade ago.
It was actually fun.......sort of like time traveling, and posting all the correct answers to predictions from a decade ago.
But in all the format changes, somewhere along the way, they stopped the ability to answer the 10 year old questions.

And also, why, right? They are using answers a decade ago because history is important.

because for the questions of the type that this site was meant for, the answers are still the same
- What do you think of the answers? You can sign in to give your opinion on the answer.

This can Happen sometimes if you are Viewing Old Questions that were asked a long time ago Particular if you found them under the Discover Tab

Workaround to have Answer tab selected by default (PCs only)
Install Tampermonkey extension for your browser and then install this script : https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/407048-yahoo-sho...

The default setting in YA are the Discover questions. This annoys and frustrated everyone, especially newbies. The recent questions are the?Answers questions. Look above the?question list. Left click or tap "Answers." You need to do this every time. It should be come almost automatic.
It is NOT a glitch. It is supposed to encourage newbies to explore YA and learn how YA works, like how the?scoring system works, but Verizon now "hides" that page underneath the "About" tab along with the "Help" page tab near the bottom of the category column. Marketing peoples' minds don't work like other people's minds.
The number 1 suggestion on the User feed back forum right before Verizon disabled comments almost 6 months ago was to please change that default setting. Verizon said it was considering it. Then Verizon Media disabled comments across Yahoo.com. We are all tired of waiting.
