No need for the formula of citric acid because the question asks for the IONIC equation so the only part of the citric acid involved in the ionic equation is its hydrogen ion. However the equation does need to be balanced.
2H+ + Mg --------------> H2 + Mg2+

you need to loo up the formula for citric acid . . . I could use google, but this is YOUR homework not mine.
Mg + citric acid --> Mg (citrate) + H2(g)
