Do only bad people go to Hell?

Or, say, a mass murderer serial killer cannibal torturer all around evil dude confesses his belief one second before the hangman's trapdoor opens...?

Hell is the grave, we all go to hell.

Simple answer, that is what false religion teaches them.

The religious clergymen of Christendom have created an image of what they understand to be “hell” or “inferno” in the minds of their church people. It is a terrible image.

Bible translators have not been uniform in rendering that word Sheol into their languages. For instance, the English Bible authorized by King James I translates Sheol thirty-one times as hell, thirty-one times as “the grave,” and three times as “the pit.”

Any reasonable person will therefore have to admit that in the inspired Hebrew Scriptures the words “hell,” “the grave,” and “the pit” mean one and the same thing. And there is no connection of it at all with fire, brimstone and eternal torment.

God, did not say to Adam that, in whatever day he ate of the forbidden fruit, he would go to a “hell” to suffer consciously forever in fiery torments. He warned Adam that he would die the death for disobedience.

    Revelation 21:8

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

In order to answer your question would require you understanding the difference between a good person and a bad or evil person.

Scripture states only God is good, and that there is "none good, not one" among mankind. If only God is good, then a man can only be good if God is a part of him, and this is what happens upon repentance and believing the gospel. Such a person receives the Holy Spirit. So yes, upon your scenario in your question, it is possible.

Jesus came to take away the sins of the world. (Actions that follow intent of heart) Now, God is dealing with the heart of mankind. You either believe, leading to righteousness, or you do not believe, leading to condemnation.

The person you described goes to heaven if they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.  That is the way for all people to be saved.  We are all bad people.  Everybody is a sinner.  To avoid the lake of fire, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.  That easy.  It is too late to be saved, after death.  Here is what you need to believe: The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ is God, and He loves you.  Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell.  So to avoid hell, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is that easy.  When a person dies, they will be in heaven or hell, and they can't get out of hell if that is where they go.  To go to heaven and not go to hell, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, without adding any of your works.  Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is God and who died on the cross and shed His blood to pay for all our sins, and who resurrected from the dead.  See Romans 4:5 and 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.

We're all bad according to the Bible (Rom. 3:10). We are all sinners who need a Savior.

The truth is that death leads to heaven or hell, and the only way to heaven is through faith in Jesus Christ.

The Bible is very clear that no one can earn their way to heaven since good works do not pay for sins. See Gal. 2:16, Rom. 3:23-28, 4:4-5, Eph. 2:8-9, Tit. 3:5. The only way to heaven is by believing in Jesus for His free gift of eternal life. Jesus shed His blood on the cross as the full payment for our sins. He did all the work; all He requires of us is that we believe in Him. Once you believe in Jesus Christ to save you, you are secure forever!

Because we have all sinned against a perfectly holy and righteous God, we all deserve eternal separation from God in hell (Rom. 6:23). However, God loves us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross as our Substitute so we don't have to go to hell. Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the grave three days later (1 Cor. 15:3-4). He gives eternal life freely to anyone who simply believes in Him for it. No one can be saved by doing good works. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Eph. 2:8-9).

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life" (John 6:47).

Everyone but Christians go to hell. Haven't you read your Bible?

I don't believe anyone goes to hell. I believe it is just a mythical place.

Nope. No one does. Hell is a superstition. Just like heaven. It's one of the simplest, most basic pieces of amateur psychology ever used.

No. Anyone who doesn't accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior go to hell. That includes evil people AND the sweet little old atheist granny across the street. They all go to the same eternal damnation. And remember it's because of their rebellious hearts. They refused to accept God's protection. They chose separation. Therefore, God won't be there to prevent Satan from dragging them to the pits of hell.
