That's usually the fallout of a rigged election. If it was fair and the Dems assisted in the investigation to clear themselves, maybe they would of realized the people didn't really elect him.

President (Biden), as was Donald Trump , is the Supreme Commander of the American Armed forces.
As such I would like to see a military parade as part of his inauguration, say down the Washington Mall. The military would dress in a formal uniform from the time of the Declaration of Independence (1776), which would give it a bit more 'colour'.
In the UK when there is a coronation of the monarch , there is a religious service where the monarch is crowned, at the same time the 'legal eagles' are there for the swearing-in, and there is a military parade. I hasten to add that the UK, for all the above, is still a functioning democracy. Unfortunately, in the UK we have not had a coronation since 1953 (Queen Elizabeth (II)). The next will only occur , when she is dead and Prince Charles becomes the monarch. So it could be 70 years between coronations, whereas in the USA , the inauguration is every 4 years.
The American system of inauguration is almost 'casual'. Yes !!! the ladies get dressed up, prayers are said, the swearing-in is the legal bit, there are soldiers standing at guard, there is an inauguration dinner and ball, but it all seems very informal.
However, that's the difference between the UK and the USA.

Because the establishment wanted to make a point that they are not to be messed with. They should read a history book and realize that all governments that fell from revolution tried to make the same point.
The show of force might work for while, but the more the establishment pisses the people off ON PURPOSE the less effective the show of force will be. I don't imagine the establishment understands this though.

To keep out the Trump fanatics - and any others who might disrupt it.

Oh no! You must be mistaken! He paid for, or I should say WE paid for secret police because there might be some soldiers who voted for Trump in the group and they couldn't have that.
