I used to fix laptops between 2010-2015. I stopped when the cost to fix your current laptop was between 30-50% of the cost of a new laptop because of the supply/demand prices regarding parts for old laptops.   

That said, I've built every tower I've owned and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Having working in IT for over 25 years, been a certified Dell Repair Tech for 9 years, and have probably fixed hundreds of computers over the years, I better "like" fixing them.
