Since the triangles are similar the ratio between like-sides from one triangle to the other is a constant ratio.
Looking at the sides opposite the 30° angle, the ratio of small over large is:
3/15 = 1/5
So the ratio of the other sides has this same ratio:
adjacent to 30°:
4 / (2y) = 1/5
hypotenuse:
x / 25 = 1/5
Now solve for both unknowns:
4 / (2y) = 1/5 and x / 25 = 1/5
2y = 20 and x = 25/5
y = 10 and x = 5

if they are similar, then sides are all in the same ratio:
4/2y = 3/15 = x/25
4/2y = 3/15
6y = 50
y = 10
3/15 = x/25
15x = 75
x = 10
