Has COVID-19 ruined an entire generation of young people?

Young children are losing out on education and social skills development, college students are losing out on the college experience, fresh graduates can’t find jobs, can’t buy homes, can’t afford rent, many are moving back in with their parents. The lower and lower middle class is financially ruined, etc etc.  It will be interesting to see how our young children and young people develop with huge educational gaps and loss of career advancement and a pause in economic growth. Basically 2020-2021 will be “lost years”

Update:

I predict lower SAT and ACT scores over the next decade as well

No. We've had epidemics and quarantines before. Maybe young people will learn from the stupidity of their elders and do better in the future.

Not Covid but rather the lockdowns from the government and the media push plus academia etc.

The DEM's over reaction has !

Notice how once Trump left office the Testing for Corona changed, States are starting  to open up. When Trump tried to band flight travel from China to the US, to protect America, the DEM's called him Racist (Media pounded this narrative), but now the DEM's are banning countries with new Strains of Covid, and the Media is ?Sheering this wonderful "Leadership"...  Can you say Propaganda boys and girls?

So the DEM's will make Americans suffer as much as possible so they can create enough pain and suffering so People would elect Biden. Once they got their way they started becoming more rational....

No our government has from my understanding children have very few effects from covid. Closing the schools was the government and the unions because they know more than the science. Science is only good if it fits your narrative.

Well our mishandling of their education as a result of Covid certainly has.

    Younger children will recover.

Older high school level children are better equipped to handle both learning online (when you get to college class is basically a live lecture anyway).

It’s the middle schoolers most will see the More long lasting damage.

When you don't have a government that works for the people this is what happens.  You didn't mention the health of over 25 million people now who have been infected by the virus and the residual effects of Covid that they will have to live with for the rest of their life.  It makes no difference how healthy you were before you contract this virus if you don't die from it you will have residual pain, difficulty breathing for some and muscle pain.  Education can be made up and caught up on but once you have lost your good health it hardly ever comes back.
