Why does doctor have to do a rectal exam if my cyst is right next to *** opening but not inside ***?

The doctor is checking to see if the cyst extends to the inside, or you have another one in your rectum.

Rectal exams are standard anyway. Both men and women receive them regularly. So, aside from checking to make sure there are no other cysts, Doctors simply do this routinely.
