What crime did Gov. Cuomo commit and can he really go to jail like he should?

I know he put sick people in nursing homes and lied about it and should go to jail but what crime can he be charged with?

Ask yourself why he received $1.5 million from those same nursing homes he reduced their death numbers for?

No he's not going to jail or losing his job or anything like that. However he's made enough enemies within Democratic party that they will sabotage his presidential run.

Cuomo made some extremely bad decisions, but it doesn't seem he committed a crime. His actions as governor are protected by law unless it can be proved he deliberately killed people--as opposed to being incompetent. That's a very difficult case to make, no matter who you're talking about. Democrats could make the same argument about Trump's inaction regarding COVID-19, but they would face the same barrier: incompetence in carrying out your official duties is not, in and of itself, a crime.
