    Winning the war of 1812 Both in the USA and at Waterloo the UK went into a period of peace and celebration Canada was safe and the UK was safe

    the Royal navy was the Biggest navy until 1972 after we closed down our Military bases east of Suez that was hen the USA just took over and Failed once the UK moved on the Sumail pirates appeared why because the USN was inept today the area is patrolled By 11 Nations where before 1972 it was Patrolled By one the RN

    No, not even for rich people. You had the Napoleonic wars where Napoleon and his army robbed things from all different nations, including his own (skyrocket taxation). Millions of people lost their lives.

    Furthermore, the societal order was returned (for the next 10-50 years, depending on the country) to the time before the French Revolution.

    The only thing I can say, is that is still a time when the lords had power over commoners. And at least in the English speaking world, there was good literature.

    I don't think it is. It is certainly an interesting time, historically, but if Thackeray's Vanity Fair, set during the period, is anything to go by far from the best of times.
