Help. A lot. They produce most of the food, and lower of rape, murder, every other violent crime, and most nonviolent crime. Nearly every problem blamed on them would be much worse without them.

During this pandemic, maybe help. Too many deaths.....
Do a screening to illegal aliens, if they are not criminals and terrorists, WE can help them with becoming legal immigrants. Maybe give training to work in the US.

They help more than hurt but not enough that they should be tolerated

It is hard to say, but I am willing to believe they help more than they hurt. All of our ancestors immigrated here at some point, many of them in ways that would be considered illegal in the modern age.
And studies of the children of immigrants find that in general the first generation tend to be more successful and have higher levels of appreciation for their new opportunities than those whose family have lived here for generations.
Of course part of the issue is the illegal part. Without proper documentation it allows them to be exploited, working menial jobs getting less than minimum wage and not contributing taxes to help support the communities they live in. That is one reason there is a push for a path to citizenship to legalize immigrants who contribute to society.

Most help. They pay taxes, get nothing back.

Immigrants can help the country. That is why the US has dozens of different programs that allow immigrants into the country, allow foreigners to work in the country, etc. the US is one of the most generous countries in that respect.
But when they come in illegally, it hurts them first of all. They get stuck in illegal jobs at low wages, stuck in poverty and poor living conditions. And they can not escape from that because they had to hid since they are illegal. They have no protection.
I know the argument is that no American would do those jobs. So what, we are helping illegally by giving them jobs that people should not have to do for low to no wages? You are really going to try to defend slave labor?
Illegal aliens do hurt the country. And do not help it in any way.
