Why do religious people say that suicide is wrong? Why are they against the concept of personal bodily autonomy rights?

Are they control freaks?

Anybody can make whatever choice they desire, but divine, eternal  judgment remains.

    1.  Because it is, silly.  It's the deliberate and unnecessary taking of a human life.

    2.  We're not.  You have your agency.

    3.  Yes, some of us are.

God as the source of life has decreed that human life is precious, sacred. Hence, suicide, which means the taking of one’s own life, or killing oneself, is condemned by the Bible. Such intentional act is self-murder. Ex. 20:13

One who intentionally takes his own life does so in utter disregard for the sacredness of life; he becomes bloodguilty.

When one commits suicide while in possession of one’s mental faculties, this shows one to be void of morality, lacking faith, having no fear of God.

It is a cowardly act, where one refuses to face up to the problems and responsibilities of life.

If the person claimed to be a true Christian, the act would violently break his relationship with Godl

"No, the Bible does not list suicide as an unforgivable sin. Even though taking one’s own life is a serious sin, * God fully understands factors such as mental illness, extreme stress, or even genetic traits that may lead to suicidal urges. (Psalm 103:13, 14) Through the Bible, he provides comfort to those in distress. In addition, the Bible says that there will be “a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 24:15) This shows that there is hope of a resurrection for people who have made serious mistakes, such as having committed suicide."

Here is a thought to think about: Would you murder your best friend?

You should be your own best friend and please do not hurt yourself because God loves you.

YOU ARE AN INDEMONIATE MANIAC, CONTROLLED BY YOUR god, SATAN!

With suicide the person kills his body, which God gave him as his creation. Therefore, there is NO justification for the suicidal person, he will be condemned to hell, for 2 reasons:1, he kills his body, 2, he will no longer make time to ask God for forgiveness of his sins.

He who dies with his sins, Has no more right to be forgiven, And will go away to eternal hell, And you, will keep him company.

    Acts 16:25-31.

25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, and the prison was shaken from the foundation, and at that moment all the doors were opened, and the chains of all were broken. 27 The jailer awoke, and when he saw all the doors of the prison open wide, he drew his sword to kill himself, thinking that the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul cried out to him in a loud voice, "Do not harm yourself, for we are all here." 29 The jailer, having asked for a light, leaped in and, all trembling, threw himself at the feet of Paul and Silas; 30 then he led them out and said, "Gentlemen, what must I do to be saved?" 31 And they answered, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you and your family will be saved."

The apostle Paul said to Jailer in verse 28: Do NOT kill yourself! So, if an Apostle of the Lord said it, all the more reason it is, in God's law that you should not commit suicide.

Now take off your mask, I want to see your face?

    1 Corinthians 6:19-20

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? [20] For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

I'm pretty sure suicide is illegal in the USA.  Assuming I'm correct, why is it illegal if we have a secular government?  I hold that abortion is a moral issue.  Assuming I'm correct about this also, isn't suicide a moral issue.

Religion has a lot to say about morality, but is not synonymous to, (with?), it.

For Christians, it depends upon the suicide.

I'm only aware of three suicides in the Bible, Samson, King Saul and Judas. Samson's wasn't an issue because he courageously died killing the Philistines, enemies of the ancient Israelites (Jdg 16:30; ref Jn 15:13; Heb 11:32). King Saul took his own life out of a cowardly fear of being mistreated and/or killed by the Philistines (1Sam 31:4). Judas was definitely a coward. Now consider this.

Rev 21:8 But as for the cowardly, unbelievers, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

If God determined that a person took their own life out of a cowardly fear of having to face all the struggles common to people in this life, that obviously could be a problem for them on the day of judgment. In sharp contrast, if a Christian courageously threw his body on a grenade to save the lives of his fellow soldiers, that suicide is quite different.
