What does a Customer Care Assistant do at a McDonald's UK Restaurant?

Reading online, it advises that the role entails looking after customers including how to use the Self Serve Kiosks and dealing with complaints if they've received the wrong order etc which sounds ok but others suggest it involves cleaning customer toilets and litter picks in the Car Park

    You'll be the person who offers our customers a warm welcome to the restaurant and anticipates what they need. That means everything from clearing trays and explaining the menu, to getting to know our regular customers.

    Customer Care at Maccy D involves ALL aspects of customer care. 

    So that includes cleaning toilets, picking litter on-site (maybe even offsite litter patrol when the restaurant is quiet), wiping tables, cleaning floors. Also cleaning and sanitising touchscreen order points and replenishing hand sanitiser dispensers.

    To be fair, at all the Maccy D franchises I worked with in the UK the Duty Managers and even the Franchisee would often do any and all of those jobs if necessary, except for the litter patrol as the DM needs to be close and available to the restaurant to manage their crew.

    If you approach the job with an attitude of providing service, whatever the task, then you’ll have the right idea.

    Of course it includes cleaning. 

    Do you really think they would hire one person to do nothing but listen to complaints and stand at a self-serve kiosk?     If they get THAT many complaints, doesn't it make more sense to fix whatever people are complaining about?

    FFS.

    P.S.  Whenever I get the wrong order, there is no "special" person who fixes it.  LOL!

    Tell them you are interested in applying for a position and would like more input for the position's qualifications.
