Did Biden refer to Texans as being Neanderthals for lifting covid restrictions ?

    He only that those who were lifting the restrictions were exhibiting "Neanderthal thinking", not every Texan, and it was an insult to Neanderthals, who would were not that irresponsible.

    Yes, but they should not feel offended, they probably have no idea what 'Neanderthal' means.

    (Fact: 100000 years ago, Neanderthals didn't know the word either)

    President Biden was expressing  disappointment with the decisions of Republican governors in Texas and Mississippi to lift mask mandates in their states.   President Biden referred to "Neanderthal thinking" at this critical time in the struggle against the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

    He should not have demeaned Neanderthals in that manner.
