Under Trump, the Republicans had no real agenda at all, EXCEPT another big tax cut for corporations and their rich investors.  (And, of course, to cancel anything Obama had done.)

Before that, under Obama, the Republicans saw their job as being to entirely constipate Congress so NOTHING got through.  Obama even tried to give the Republicans what they wanted--in fact Obamacare was made up almost entirely of things the Republicans had fought for themselves for years.  But they thought it suited their party better to just obstruct everything.  Speakers of the House Boehner and Ryan were the least productive Speakers in history.  Boehner even said out loud that under him, the House's job was to REPEAL laws, not pass them.  (But he didn't repeal any either.)

The party today seems to want to look like it's undoubtedly now the Trump Party.  But I still think there's an internal argument as to how to proceed, whether they'll even have a legislative agenda going forward or will just represent obstruction and dysfunctional govt., as they have under every Democratic president since Carter.

Since Biden's inauguration, I haven't heard a single clue from Republicans as to what they'd like to pass, which direction they'd like to go.  For a month now, all we've heard from them is fake outrage about Dr. Seuss and Mr. Potato Head.  Which, of course, is only a tool to distract the newsmedia from the political agenda.

Due to their reduced numbers and the dummycrats refusal to compromise, it doesn't matter.

Given the dimocrapper's agenda, I see absolutely nothing wrong with obstructionism.  Did you look at any of the pandering packed into the covid "relief" lie?  It has more pork than a Jimmy Dean's breakfast sausage patty.  100% of the bill is unconstitutional.  Tell us what funding for the "Endowment for the Arts" or the "Endowment for the Humanities" has to do with "relief".  Tell us why those are even funded by taxes.  Why should taxpayers be forced to pay to rebuild cities where police were told to stand down while rioters ran rampant this past summer?

The republican party has obstructed for so long, they forget how to propose bills that have a possibility of being useful for The American Peoples.

Only obstructionism, sort of like the Dems between 2017 and 2021, the GOP between 2009 and 2016, etc. Congress hasn't functioned as anything more than a mean girls club for decades.
