Why did it take several burly, plain clothes men to carry Julian Assange out of the Ecuador embassy?

when one or two police could have done it

Update:

He has no passport and does have a high profile

'Though of course Assange does have his strong principles regarding how he uses the secrets he manages to come into possession of', wails answerer full of fear and hatred. The reason why such actions were taken was to show the western media that we are the dog's bollocks - and no matter how 'important' Assange and his method of getting secrets are (which Trump once loved), if he gets too scary, then the west will need to squash him like a beetle, much to the ease of the cowardly lot on here.

yank police brutality is contagious, at least they did not shoot him in the back several times

Probably to keep unauthorized people from getting involved.  Assange is not a physical powerhouse; they were not afraid of him.  By the look of it, he didn't even refuse to walk. Of course, since he was being arrested, there's a chance he might run, or more likely, his fans might rescue him and take him into hiding - or try to.

Neither Assange nor his fans are known for being law-abiding.  Though of course Assange does have his strong principles regarding how he uses the secrets he manages to come into possession of.

I was thinking Trump maybe should have pardoned him [Biden won't}.  But I suppose that would be risky, you never know what he'll do....
