you follow the rules.....int of { d(u v) = u dv + v du } leads to int of { u dv } = u v  int of { v du }.....ex :
integrate x sin x....YOU need to choose functions u and v so that u dv ≡ x sin x dx...choices are u = x & dv = sin x dx OR
u = sin x , dv = x dx...I generally choose u to be the given polynomial...u = x ===> du = dx & dv = sin x dx ===> v =  cos x........u v  v du = x cos x  int { (  cos x ) dx } =  x cos x + sin x
